Lifescience Industry Magazine on 10 January reported that a new £30mn partnership between Japan and the UK will support research into treatments for ailments such as diabetes, heart disease and arthritis. The alliance should provide insight into human regenerative processes which will aid treatment methods and technologies.
Dr Mark Palmer, director of international strategy at the UK’s Medical Research Council said that “the UK and Japan are world leaders in regenerative medicine research, and we very much look forward to the opportunity for further collaborative efforts”.
