British Airways will operate non-stop return flights five times a week between Haneda Airport and London’s Heathrow from 20 February 2011, Tokyo Shimbun reported in September. The Boeing 777 service will especially target businesspeople because Haneda is only 19km from central Tokyo. The 12-hour flights will depart from Haneda at 6:25am daily except Wednesdays and Thursdays to arrive at Heathrow at 10am the same day. The return flight will depart at 8am from Heathrow and arrive at Haneda the following day at 5am. British Airways’ daily Narita 747 service will continue offering customers a choice of 12 flights a week between Tokyo and London Heathrow.
