Marubeni Corporation plans to treble its investment in green energy in the UK to more than £600mn over the next few years, the London Press Service reported on 13 January.
Just days after the firm had paid £200mn to become a co-owner of a vast wind farm off the coast of southern England, it announced it planned two further investments of the same size in the UK.
Executive officer Masumi Kakinoki said: “It is especially significant as it is the first investment by a Japanese company in an offshore wind power project”.
