Rock singer and guitarist Peter Frampton wrote two songs on his latest album for Megumi Yokota, who was kidnapped by North Korea 32 years ago, Kyodo Tsushin reported on 17 August.
Megumi’s parents Shigeru and Sakie said: “We really appreciate his caring about Megumi and our feelings”.
Frampton had been shocked by the US documentary “Abduction: The Megumi Yokota Story”, which inspired him to write “Asleep at the Wheel” and “Suite: Liberte”.
Frampton said: “I also have a teenage daughter. I don’t think this is just a problem for somebody else”.
