GlaxoSmithKline plc withdrew from sale their denture adhesive New Poligrip EX, the Nikkei reported in March. The product contained zinc that could cause anaemia or numbness if taken over the long term. About 1.9 million units of the product were sold since its release in Japan in September 2007.
