John Lewis’ flagship store in Oxford Street has opened its first Waitrose Foodhall, partly influenced by Tokyo’s department stores, the talkingretail website reported on 4 October.
The 5,182m2 Foodhall sells seasonal specialty foods, gourmet ready-to-heat meals and everyday groceries.
Mark Price, managing director of Waitrose, said: “It’s accessible and easy to navigate in and out for a quick top-up shop for time-pressed Londoners”.
