“Rare” Whiskies Exported

Small quantities of two limited-edition, single-malt Suntory whiskies will be available in the UK from this autumn priced at £70-80 a bottle, talkingretail.com reported on 10 August.

Yamazaki Puncheon, to be distributed by Cellar Trends, has been aged in 488-litre casks made from staves of American white oak. Hakushu, from a distillery on the edge of the Southern Alps, is heavily peated and aged in 230-litre hogsheads made from American white oak.
