A Belfast cancer victim who began a round-the-world fund-raising trip by gyroplane on 22 March will visit 26 countries in four months, including Japan, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported in March.
Norman Surplus, 47, will try to fly 500 kilometres each day until mid-July.
He hopes to be the first person to fly a gyroplane around the world, after failing in 2005 due to the monsoon in India, and will raise funds for the Cancer Research Foundation.
