Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has bought innovative UK video game developer Media Molecule for an undisclosed amount, the INSIDE game website reported in March.
Media Molecule, which employs about 40 people at its Guildford, Surrey studio, created the PlayStation 3 smash-hit LittleBigPlanet that sold more than 3 million copies. The deal would help Sony’s development of games software sold in Japan, the US and the EU, a spokesperson said.
