Cadbury Japan Ltd. said its affiliate had bought the site of a former Panasonic Electric Works Co. plant in Aichi Prefecture to build a chewing gum plant, Kyodo News reported on 28 October.
The Kiyosu site was bought for ¥900mn by Nagoya-based confectioner Meito Adams Co., a joint venture of the Japanese unit of Britain’s Cadbury PLC and confectionery maker Meito Sangyo Co.
