Two Britons recently completed a 100-day tour of Japan’s 47 prefectures, in a bid to help bring back foreign tourists to the country, the Mainichi Shimbun reported on 24 January.
The 28-year-old writer Jamie Lafferty and 29-year-old photographer Katy Morrison started travelling in September, after winning—ahead of 1,895 applicants—the Travel Volunteer Project, the inspiration for which came from a travel agency employee.
