The latest Spider-Man film premiered in Tokyo with British actor Andrew Garfield playing the lead role in 3D, the Yomiuri Shimbun reported on 14 June.
Raised and educated in Britain, US-born Garfield made his television debut on the UK’s Channel 4.
Observers said the world premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man proves Japan is considered an important market for films.
