Hitachi, Ltd. said it plans to target the UK, China, the US and Brazil to further expand sales of its high-speed trains, the Nikkei reported in March. It will also market monorails and signal systems in emerging economies. In December 2009, Hitachi launched the UK’s first domestic high-speed service, from St Pancras International in London to Kent, in southeast England.
