Sake Targets Foreign Markets

An award-winning brand has released a DVD in English and brochures in six languages to exploit the trend for sake in the UK and other markets, it was reported in March.

The SME Agency chose Saijo as its first sake brand, prompting the nine-member Saijo Sake Brewers’ Association, based in Higashi Hiroshima-shi, Hiroshima Prefecture, to launch a global media campaign to educate drinkers and retailers.

The 11-minute DVD and brochures introduce the brewers, techniques, ideal natural conditions, and how to enjoy sake.
