Four-wheel drive manufacturer Subaru was the main sponsor of the Houghton International 2010 horse trials held in Norfolk on 27-30 May, the online motor magazine Response reported.
A Subaru spokesperson said: “We are proud to reinforce our links with the rural and equestrian communities by sponsoring this event. Subaru cars have an active image and this event is the best occasion to promote that”.
UK-based New Zealander Mark Todd, a five-time Olympic gold medal winner, was among more than 300 competitors at the competition watched by 11,000 spectators over four days.
Subaru provided 10 vehicles to support the event and exhibited several models.
