Nintendo Entertainment’s Analysis & Development General Manager Shigeru Miyamoto received the coveted fellowship at the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards in London, the Gpara.com website reported in March.
Miyamoto is known as “the father of modern video games” for creating Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Nintendogs and Wii Music.
“I am very grateful to be able to receive such an honourable award from the British Academy”, he said.
