British Ambassador David Warren paid a courtesy call on the governor of Saitama Prefecture, Kiyoshi Ueda, on 19 May, reported the MSN Sankei News website.
The two spoke about their environmental concerns, and Ueda introduced the prefecture’s plans to save energy by encouraging people to review their lifestyles. Ueda invited Warren to visit the town of Nagatoro, in the prefecture’s Chichibu district. “We would like to tell you about the area’s project to preserve its greenery and rivers”.
Warren was quoted saying that he was looking forward to his next meeting with Ueda.
